Working together, you and Karolina will decide on the location and the clothing that complements the shoot, and also discuss the types of poses you’d like to capture.
Her pioneering approach to location photography became popular during the Covid lockdowns. Karolina’s iconic and uniquely-styled pictures blend in seamlessly with the natural world and architectural delights. In the midst of the pandemic (adhering to social-distancing rules), her location photography became the sought-after imagery for dancers across London.
What emerged was Dreams On Hold, a collection of pictures that only Karolina’s eye could have seen and shot. The brief for subjects, very simply, was hair down, in tutu, outside homes. Windows, roofs and alcoves became their stage. Karolina froze in time a period of great uncertainty and loss, but chose as her frame the hope that lay as a seed within the dancers who dreamed of their return to the stage, and normalcy.
